If you are new to the Online Tools, or if this is the first time using the Online Tools, the following guide will assist you with: - Registering for the Online Tools and creating a user profile
- Logging in to the Online Tools
- Creating and opening projects
- Selecting Materials and Load setups
- Viewing Failure Criteria
- Becoming familiar with the layout of the Online Tools
The Online Tools are best used with a screen resolution of 1280 x 1080.
First Time Users
If you have not yet registered for the Online Tools, you will need to do so and create a user profile.
Once you have registered, you will receive two emails. The first is a registration confirmation email and the second is a validation email to validate your email address. Once your email address has been validated, you will be linked to the appropriate account and you will have access to the Online Tools. Note, you will not be able to access the Online Tools if your email address has not been validated.
The validation email is often marked as junk/spam. If you do not receive the validation email, check your junk/spam mail folders, alternatively contact support (support@rubicontoolbox.com).
Registered Users
If you have not been linked to a valid licensed account, or your licenses are not up to date, you will only be able to use the Online Tools in Demo mode and you will not be able to save any project data.
Manage Projects
If this is the first time using the Online Tools, you will need to setup a project by clicking on Manage Projects to create a new project. Alternatively, you can use an existing project if one has already been created.
For guidelines on sharing projects, click here.
Note that when you return to the Online Tools homepage, a project will not show in the Projects and Analysis list until an analysis is saved.
Using the Online Tools
Before you can use the Online Tools, you will need to select which settings you want to use. This can be done by clicking on the Settings link.
To select materials, click on Materials from the settings menu. Check the materials to show when you work and click on Save Changes. For guidelines on adding materials, click here.
The same will apply for selecting a load setup by clicking on Select Load Setups from the settings menu.
To manage your load setups, click on Manage Load Setups from the settings menu. Note, you can also add customized loads.
To view the various failure criteria, click on Criteria from the settings menu.
Navigating the Online Tools
Once you have completed your settings, you are ready to use the various Tools. Using the left-hand navigation menu, click on the Tool you would like to use.
Once you have saved an analysis, it will show up in the Projects and Analysis list on the Online Tools homepage.
Other Settings to Help you Navigate the Online Tools
Using the top right-hand Action icons will allow you to perform various actions on selected analyses. Moving your mouse cursor over one of these icons will tell you what action the icon performs.
